TAX CREDIT DONATION GENERAL DONATION

Thanks to this program, as a state taxpayer, you can help NCS provide holiday food to low-income children and families in our community and increase your tax refund. Your 2018 charitable contributions to Legacy Connection means you could receive a Tax Credit of up to $800 for couples filing jointly (up to $400 for single individuals). History

Dear NCS Family,

The holiday season is rapidly approaching, which means our J.B. Sutton (Isaac Schools) Turkey Drive is just around the corner as well. For nine years NCS students, staff and families have been blessed with the opportunity to share the light and love of Christ with over a thousand needy families in five underprivileged schools in south Phoenix. We have extended to them the opportunity to enjoy a stress-free Thanksgiving meal together; something that they would otherwise not be able to enjoy. This year, our goal is to provide 1420 meals!

Not only do these Thanksgiving meals provide physical nourishment to families, but they also provide life-changing nourishment to the soul. The food boxes serve as a sign of hope to those in a broken community. We are able to do this by partnering with Calvario Phoenix. Calvario provides a CD containing the message of the Gospel in each box along with an invitation to their church. Calvario Phoenix is a church located in the heart of the Isaac School District and is pastored by a NCS parent, Greg Johannes. Through this project, both the mouths of the hungry and the souls of the weary are fed and God’s Kingdom is expanded.

This year, our monetary goal is $20,000 and the BHHS Legacy Foundation will match half of the funds raised up to $10,000. This gives us the potential to raise a remarkable $30,000. We cannot meet this goal without you and we ask that you encourage your students to donate in their classes to this project. While the foundation loves parent donations, we truly love seeing students learn how to give and realize that you can never out give our God! According to Matthew 25:35-40, we are called to feed and clothe the needy. This project is a means by which our student body can come to understand and live out that scripture.

In the next few days and weeks, you will be learning more about how your family can contribute to the JB Sutton Project. Through emails, flyers, and within chapel, our student leadership team will be communicating both the needs and the opportunities.

Thank you for your continued and sacrificial support of the students at Northwest Christian. Your extended support year after year is the reason that this project has been successful and remains a tremendous aspect of the growth available to students at NCS. You are truly helping students become difference makers in our community and our world.

Forever serving Him,

Dustin Inness - HS Student Body President

How YOU  Can Help

With the continued help of the BHHS Legacy Foundation, we are able to provide a meal that would otherwise not be there. Not only do these Thanksgiving meals provide nourishment physically to families, but they also provide great nourishment, to the soul. These food boxes serve as a sign of hope to those in a broken community. As the NCS community, we are able to partner with Calvario Phoenix to provide within the boxes a CD with the message of the Gospel and an invitation to their church. Calvario Phoenix is a church located in the heart of the Isaac School District and is pastored by NCS parent Greg Johannes. Through this project, both mouths and souls can be fed and lives reached for the Kingdom.

We truly cannot meet this goal without you! We ask that you encourage your students to donate in their classes to this project. While the foundation loves to see parent donations, they truly love seeing the students learn how to give. You can never out give our God! According to Matthew 25:35-40, we are called to feed and clothe the needy. This project is a means by which our student body can come to understand that scriptural principle personally. In the next few days and weeks, you will be learning more about how your family can contribute. Through emails, flyers in Monday folders, and within chapel, our student leadership team will be communicating both the needs and the opportunities.

Thank you for your continued and sacrificial support of the students at Northwest Christian. Your continued support year after year is the reason that this project has been successful in the past and today remains a tremendous aspect of the growth available to students at NCS. You are truly helping students become difference makers in our community and our world.
